1. About us

This website is operated by LK MARKETING (PVT) LTD, a company registered in Sri Lanka with its place of business at Beralapanathara Road, Kubokka, Mathara, Sri Lanka. References to "we", "us" and "our" mean that company.

2. Using this website

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order. You agree to give accurate information when ordering, and to keep your account password confidential. You are responsible for orders placed through your account.

3. Our products

We sell natural, single-origin Sri Lankan spices. Because they are agricultural products, colour, coarseness, aroma and strength vary slightly between harvests and batches. Photographs on the website are indicative; the product you receive may differ a little in appearance.

Net weights are stated on each product page and on the packet. Store your spices in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and keep the packet tightly sealed after opening — the best-before date assumes the product is stored that way.

4. Allergens and health information

Information on this website about the traditional or nutritional uses of spices is provided for general interest only. It is not medical advice, and our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication or managing a health condition, speak to a qualified medical practitioner before using any spice in therapeutic quantities.

Our products are packed in a facility that handles a range of spices. If you have a known allergy or sensitivity, check the ingredient information on the packet and contact us before ordering if you are unsure.

5. Orders and acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we confirm dispatch. We may decline or cancel an order — and will refund you in full if we do — where the item is out of stock, where a price or description was published in error, where we cannot deliver to your address, or where we suspect fraud.

6. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise at checkout. Delivery charges are shown separately before you confirm payment. We may change prices at any time, but changes do not affect orders already confirmed.

Payment is taken through Shopify’s secure checkout. We do not receive or store your full card details. Your order is processed once payment is authorised.

7. Delivery

We deliver within Sri Lanka and, where offered at checkout, internationally. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees; times can be affected by courier delays, weather and customs processing.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Please give a complete address and a contactable telephone number — we cannot accept responsibility for parcels delayed or lost because the address or number given was wrong or incomplete.

For international orders, any customs duties, import taxes or clearance charges are your responsibility and are not included in the price you pay us. Some countries restrict the import of agricultural or food products; it is your responsibility to check before ordering.

8. Returns

Returns, replacements and refunds are governed by our Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Intellectual property

The Yuwe Serendib name and logo, the content of this website, and the photographs, articles and product descriptions on it belong to us or are used with permission. You may not copy, republish or use them commercially without our written consent.

10. Limitation of liability

We take care to describe our products accurately and to deliver them in good condition. To the extent permitted by Sri Lankan law, our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as loss of profit or business.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, flooding, crop failure, strikes, power or internet failure, or government restrictions. Where such an event occurs we will contact you and, if the delay is substantial, offer you a refund.

12. Governing law

These terms, and any contract formed under them, are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka. Orders placed through this website are electronic transactions recognised under the Electronic Transactions Act No. 19 of 2006.

13. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order is the version that applies to it. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated.
